My non-fiction writing spans more than four decades, focusing upon social and political issues of global interest. Using a clean and crisp style, I blend historical and contemporary nonfiction to offer accessible and engaging writing about complex topics. My most recent book, Politics and Society in Contemporary Europe, published by Lynne Rienner Publishers, discusses challenges facing Europe today. My current book project, The Paths of Identity, reflects on my early career working in Nigeria.
